All I want to say about the Grain Valley game is that it was a learning experience for us,

You can't put the ball on the ground, you can't make coverage busts and you can't allow a kick off for a touchdown and expect to beat a good team,

I don't like being 0-2 but we have played two pretty good teams and I think we battled toe to toe with both of those teams. Our running game right now is pretty sharp. Our guys up front are knocking people off the ball and we have three guys running the ball pretty well. Defensively, I thought we took a huge step. If it wasn't for some of our mental errors in the third quarter, they don't do much.

They will run a 4-4, ... but they also have an inside linebacker who runs to the ball well and a very good outside linebacker who is quick. We have to do a good job of blocking people at the point of attack. Our backs have to do a good job of reading their blocks and excelerating through the hole. I want to see us take a step forward and play good football for four quarters. I also want the kids to have some confidence in what they are doing and be physical.

It was something I felt was right. I had an unbelievable experience and nothing but great memories.

As much energy as I thought we had a week ago we had that less amount of energy tonight. We just weren't focused on what we needed to do. We didn't block anybody all night long.
